The big manistee is fishing very well, with fall steelhead being caught everyday now. The steelhead numbers will continue to grow throughout October. If you have never experienced fall steelhead you owe it to yourself, there is nothing like it. Salmon are just starting to spawn on the manistee so look for steelhead in the egg buffet behind them. Fishing will remain good through Nov/dec , but October is king. The p.m. continues putting out kings every day with trout also being happy, we are catching a occasional steelhead.
