1-21-10 Fishing Report

Hi guys going to be out getting a tan in the Bahamas,,,if your looking to go last minute I will be there until Feb. 6th,,,,, the place is great and I still have a couple last minute openings for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 6th,,,,, email me for info,,,,, here is the place the pictures don't do it justice. http://www.margaritabeachrentals.com/bahamas_3_bedroom.htm As far as the home front the fish in the bug water can be very smart and farther down they respond to things a bit better. Trees are still a problem,,,they are a good workout.....Launches can be a bit tricky also....

When I get back Feb. 6th lets get out and get a half day in of some fun steelheading. I will be the really tan guy on the river

1-11-10 Fishing Report

Hi guys the weather is shaping up here for the end of the week into this weekend. I have been convicing a few people to break the cabin fever and come join me for a steel ride. Most have been greated with a picture with a fish or at least a lesson taught by the fish. This has been the best winter fishing we have had around here in quite a while,,,,anyway come up and enjoy the small winter thaw,,river is in good shape,,Get out of the house and get your fix

Charles and I jumped several trees and ended up landing one steelhead on his inagural run in his boat. The rainy mix brought the river up a touch and brought a few new chrome in the lower river. Come up and give winter steelheading a try, 1/2 day's are fine this time of year..Pick the warmest day of the week and you can expect fish

,,,,If someone wants to catch the little manistee for it's last majesty give me a call,,,Bruce landed a giant on his new spey rod christmas present, in the lower river....

12-10-09 Fishing Report

Hi guys if you check out our snow report we have 18" of the white stuff as of this morning.

Went to hang out with Doc Bell to see the Pack Play,,,what a great venue,,,my first time to Lambeau
Field,,,Went fishing on a west side mi trib in WI,,,hooked a bunch of fresh water bones lot of fun when nothing is biting...Thanks for the great weekend Doc Bell

..Took Alex out the other day hooked a nice steel in the freezing snow weather,,,

,,,Josh stuck a few steel on streamers before the snow,,,

,,Kevin with a nice lake run brown on the Grand,,

We have some open boats this week come join the white out,,,,,

Actually we have some 30degree weather coming up it should make for good fishing.....

12-1-09 Fishing Report

Great buck by good friend Mr. Jeffery Whalen what a monster IL buck.

Went with my wife to western ny and enjoyed the great steelhead factory they have there, cousin-inlaw, and good friend Eric lands his first steel on the fly.

A little rain has helped the stain in the water up this way and the fish moved out of the wood for a day or two. The colder weather has softened up the bite but a good solid day can be had with small stuff and light fluro. Streamer fishing still seems to be rocking on the river to our north,,,,I am heading out to see if that is still true.....See ya on the river

11-20-09 Fishing Report

We have got a little rain not enough to change things,,,,,,,There are fish in all the rivers,,light tippet and small patterns is key,,,,,,,We have a few openings next week.....Moving fast and getting the players to eat seems to be key.......Streamer fishing has been solid,,,,,,,,The tug from a steel on heavy tippet and a big fly is a bunch of fun you have to love the instict bite.......

11-10-09 Fishing Report

Well the weather has been great,,,,,Dr. John with a nice steel, Eric with a rod ripper, and Mr. Potter with a great fall buch,,,,trout fishing was great today on the big river,,,,some of the best streamer fishing of the year,,,,,steelhead can be day to day and covering a bunch of water and a great first cast is important.......

I have Nov. 21-22 a nice weekend open come get a pull from a steel.........
