6-17-11 Fishing Report

Sorry guys it has been so long since a report, no good reason other than I have been really busy not sleeping mixing days on the flats of grand traverse and nights in the haunts of the Pere Marquette, + my usb cord for my camera was giving me fits.

Carp on the fly------------- for some reason they seem to get better looking on a pristine flat

Looks like I am pregnant in this pic

Dub before he heads to Idaho to guide strikes with a nice waking fly-----fish

Rain doesn't always put down wake fishing, not many big fish today but tons of smaller fish looking up

Spent a great long weekend in Maine with the family, more pics to come from Catie (my wife's) camera this seemed very camera worthy to my food driven eyes....Fresh Maine lobsters there is nothing better

Wayne on his first match the hatch, night fishing does very well

Riddick Bo's keep us smiling

Frank Rudowski from Ann Arbor area strikes with a great drake eating brown

Karl Stearns 75 and still striking what a great night with this young man!!!! Sorry about the drake in the picture....

Scott Gobal manager of Indy Orvis coming up to pick out his new stealth spends some time with Captain Mike

Nice Bow Scott

Come enjoy Grand Traverse Bay's Golden Bone experience the smallie fishing has been very good also

Old Pal Stevie Mueller from Chicago with a nice night time waking brownie

If your looking for that wall hanger you have always wanted the big bug hatch is a day or two away and will be running for the next 2 weeks after. Stay tuned for open dates as of right know I have this Sunday the 19th off this next wed. the 22nd, and the 26th open. The next three weeks of dry fly fishing will be the best of the year. Come join me for a mayfly frenzy....

See ya on the creek,

Captain Mike
