5-09-08 Baldwin Area Fishing Report

Well guys like I said there still are some steel around,,,,the water up north on the Big is getting low so fishing an indi is the way to roll,,,,I wish we had planters like this on the p.m.........Hot fly's are salmon smolt,,,light nukes, peachy glo's,,,and small trout nymphs,,,,,By the way sturgeon are illegal to keep and technically even fish for,,,wow never seen a guy trying to drag one of those up the bank until today


Sent a couple sleds to AK today before my trip,,,have fun up there Jim see ya in August...

Hi fellas I told you we would have steel well into May,,,,,Here is proof,,,,If a mid 70 year old can hook this many fish just imagine what you can do.....lol....Lee has been fishing with me for many of years,,,,,we also got some trout on top,,,caddis was working for us today but there are many henny's on my screen at Baldwin Creek meaning the henny's should be working on the p.m.,,,,,,,see ya on the water......

5-5-08 Fishing Report

Hi fellas the fishing is good depending on the day,,,,,the p.m. steelhead are nearing to and end but we are still having good days on the upper walk in rivers and the big tailwaters to the north and south. Steelhead on the streamer are a real thing this time of year and the crowds seem to be going way down......

see ya on the river....I know i promised a lot of you guys steel well into May but i still think there will be plenty around with this weird spring

4-29-08 Fishing Report

J.P. good friend and top rod client had a lot of fun on the little and big man,,,we stuck to fat lines indicators and swinging the spey on the big and produced quite well,,,,keep those hens working and the bucks will chew.....There are still plenty of steel around so don't be afraid to book in May,,,,,,the burst of water has brought some fresh fish in......

4-27-08 Fishing Report -Lost and Found

Hi guys the fishing on the walk in rivers up north are still quite good we are still getting some fresh fish as you can see ,,,,,trout fishing is starting to pick up also,,,,,,,thanks for the great trout opener,,,,, we still have some great early may steelhead dates available and some great hatch trips,,,,
we have been getting some good henny's and i expect some other good bug activity soon......

I had a client accidently leave a 11' 7weight Sage Z Axis on the bank at McCormicks gravels near Taylor Rd. , Mapleleaf access it says BaldwinCreekLodge on the rod if anyone sees it i would really appreciate it back,,,,i walked back there only a couple hours later and it was gone,,,,,,

4-19-08 Fishing Report

Well the air has warmed and so has the water,,,,the fish are rushing to the gravel,,,,,we still have a lot of steelhead left in the system so don't feel sad if you have late dates with me we will have good steelhead fishing well into May,,,Most of all the tribs are fishing well right now with fish crashing the gravel everywhere.....we are still getting fish on the chase with streamers how exiting to see a fish chase a fly right up to the boat and hit.....wow that will get the heart beating,,,,If you want a face on the web give us a call

4-15-08 Baldwin Area Fishing Report

Hi guys fishing has been fair,,,when the sun is not to bright,,,,streamer fishing has been good with the water warming,,,,,the upper walk in tribs north of Baldwin have been fishing great,,,,come and fight the fish not the crowds,,we have some good open dates coming in April give us an email or a phone call

Fish have been biting estaz and bright color bugs the best with the high water,,,,,,
the upper p.m. is waderable and the other big rivers are starting to fish very good,,,we will have very good steelhead fishing well into a month from now
